The Fulfillment of What Was Spoken
When I get up in the morning to spend time with the Lord I ask Him, 'Lord where do you want me to read today?' on this particular morning I heard Matthew, so I simply opened Matthew and my eyes fell upon Matthew 12 right away. When I began reading, I came upon verse 17 which says, This was in fulfillment of what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, It hit me right away that this was not the first time I'd read this statement. In fact, I have read it countless times through the Gospel. Why does it matter? Is it even important to God's people? Well, yes I do believe that it is. The Lord specifically says things over and over just as a parent would to their children to remind them of something significant. He definitely wants us to know and understand this. Let's take a minute to look at the other places where this was spoken before I continue with what I believe the Lord is sharing in this blog.
