Cry Out & Stop Letting Jesus just walk right on by ~ Blog
There is clear evidence in the word that Jesus would have just walked by countless people who had needs if they didn't cry out to Him. 1) In Matthew 14, the disciples had to cry out when Jesus was walking on water. There is a translation that literally says, Jesus would have walked right on by. 2) The man at the gate, Beautiful in Acts 3, had to cry out, and people told him to be quiet, yet he knew he would miss his encounter and healing from Jesus if he didn't cry out even louder. 3) Two blind men cried out, 'Jesus, have mercy on us' in Matthew 9:27. Like me, you have needs. Maybe an illness, a prodigal who has walked away from the Lord and from you. A financial need that you yourself cannot fix or repair. What do you do? Well, when we've suffered enough, most of us will rise up rather than just lie down.
