The Wicked Will Not Laugh Much Longer ~ Blog/Word

As I sat with the Lord this morning, I sensed He wanted me to know and share that He will soon be turning our mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). So much has happened in my family in the last few years, and just like for others, the intensity has increased. We went from things happening occasionally that were challenging to just about everything happening at once.

Just about a month ago, my husband's younger brother died a very horrible death (63). Then, only last week, we received a call that his younger sister (65) had to be taken to ER and was now in ICU because of very serious health issues. They were not sure if she was going to make it. We live states away so my husband was really concerned about his mother, who had so much to deal with and then a few days ago we were awakened at 4 am to a phone call saying that his mother had a massive stroke and might not make it and even if she did, she was now paralyzed and couldn't take care of herself any longer. Also, the death of Charlie Kirk affected my husband terribly. He really loved to watch him debate people and knew him as a man of God who was truly dedicated to turning the hearts of the younger generation back to God and to loving America. There is more I could share, but this blog isn't about all the negative or even evil things that have happened lately. I believe the intent God had in me sharing this was that He truly wants us (His children) sitting in the Heaven's and laughing with Him.

God reminded me of Psalm 17:22, which says, 'A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.' It is so important right now in the midst of all that is happening to focus on what God has said and what we know God is doing in our world and in our lives right now. He had me go through the word looking for scriptures on laughing or laughter. One of the most famous is Psalm 2:4, which says, 'He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.' Psalm 58:9 is similar and says, 'But You, O Lord, shall laugh at them; You shall have all the nations in derision.'

Take just a few minutes this morning with me and try to envision your Father sitting in the Heaven's and laughing. Then see yourself sitting there with Him. Beloved, He is not laughing at the death and destruction that the enemy is causing. The Bible clearly tells us what He is laughing at and about. Job 41:29 tells us that 'Darts are regarded as straw; He laughs at the threat of javelins.' Therefore, He laughs at the tools they create and the weapons they use to try to come against Him. They are nothing to Him because He is the creator of all. Also, we are told in Psalm 37:13 that in their human wisdom those who believe they have gotten over on Him are dead wrong because we see that 'the Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming.Far too many do not understand that God declares the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). There is nothing you can do EVER, to outthink Him, outmaneuver Him or overcome Him.

  • Think of the flood of Noah. God had Noah start building that boat 100 years before the flood, knowing full well that only Noah's family would be saved as He wiped out all the evil from the earth.
  • Think about Moses being saved from the Pharaoh's command that all male children under 2 years of age should be killed. God not only saves Moses but literally has him raised in Pharaoh's house, nursed by his real mother. If that isn't something to laugh about, I don't know what is.
  • Think about the wickedness the enemy thought he did in throwing Joseph into a pit. The Lord took all that happened to Joseph and set him up as 2nd only under Pharaoh, but one who trusted Joseph and knew his God was the one true God. Through Joseph, all of his family moved to Goshen, multiplied, and prospered for countless years.
  • Think about Haddasah, who became Esther. A young Jewish woman who has lost her family and is then literally abducted by the King's men and taken to a place she was terrified to go to. Not only did the King choose her to be the next Queen, but she was set there for such a time to bring deliverance to God's people, the Jews, because He knew what was coming with Haman.
  • And finally, think about Saul, a murderer and persecutor of God's people who, when God had had enough, knocked him off his horse and changed everything, even for you and me. God had to heal his deceived mind. That religious mindset that told Saul he was doing a work for God when, in reality, he was working against the One True Living God all along. Saul, who became the Apostle Paul, has literally written almost 2/3rds of our New Testament. A life changed and a mind renewed that has touched each and every one of us through the words that the Holy Spirit would give him to write that are still to this day impacting billions of people.

In the midst of the shaking, the wickedness, the chaos, and the turmoil, God is there. He never leaves us or forsakes us (Hebrews 13:5). He wants you and me to know that we, too, can be like Sara and will very soon be saying what she did in Genesis 21:6: “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.” And what about the Job experience? Wow, is there even one of us who can imagine what Job went through, yet we find these words in Job 5:22, 'we shall laugh at destruction and famine, And you shall not be afraid of the beasts of the earth.' and Job 8:21says, 'He will yet fill your mouth with laughing, And your lips with rejoicing.'

I listened to a podcast by Nate Johnston yesterday that was horrific in that he recently went through a terrible trial and sickness, and was told by people that there were prophetic voices and Christians that were saying he deserved to be sick, and some hoped he'd die. This beloved is NEVER the heart of God. No matter how much we disagree with others, these people truly do not know God or the blood of Jesus. One thing that he said that impacted me and I shared with my husband was, 'take time to grieve, but don't let the trauma in.' Don't get offended. Don't let the lies, deception, anger, or hatred that is in others get into you. I believe as I said above that God truly wants to turn our mourning into dancing but just as He said to Samuel about the loss of King Saul in 1 Samuel 16:1 “How long will you mourn for Saul,' I believe God gives us a pattern in many ways in Ecclesiastes 3:4 saying, There is a time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; but above all in this time beloved we must keep our minds and hearts on Jesus. The enemy is not yet finished creating arrows or throwing javelins, so we have to be strong and learn to stand because God has prophesied time and time again that WE WIN!

God says that we are coming into a Luke 6:21 moment, beloved. 'Blessed are you who hunger now, For you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, For you shall laugh.' and a Psalm 126:2 hour when we know and trust that 'our mouth will be filled with laughter, And our tongues with singing. Then we will say among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for us.'

I specifically heard the Lord say, 'The wicked will not laugh much longer My beloved children (Luke 6:25). The bowls are being poured out even now (Revelation 16:1). You will see the reward of the wicked with our own eyes (Psalm 91:8). Do not faint now, beloved.

In fact, all morning I've been hearing this word over and over in my spirit, and I perceive it to be from the Lord, 'run at the giants in your life rather than running from them, and you will see just like David did, that I Am is with you.' Our God is far bigger than most give Him credit for, but the true Ecclesia will know who they are in Him.

And I can't close this without quoting David, who knew the truth, which is what sets us free. 1 Samuel 17:26b tells us that David said, 'For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” The answer is, he is nothing and he is no one. He, like all enemies of God, is supposed to be under our feet, and we should put him there.  Isn't it long past the time when we should take and use the authority already given to us?
