Losing Your Religion ~ Blog/Word
Obey His Voice, Hear Him Speak even in dreams and visions...
Be willing to let go of religious teachings...
Isn't the word of God amazing? Think of it. Just one word from God can change your life forever. Does that mean one word, as in a prophetic word? Well, yes, that can change your life forever, but what it really means to me is that one word (a single word) or scripture at times can speak volumes and change your thinking, your day, and even your life if meditated on day and night as we are told to do in Joshua 1:8.
This morning I simply asked, 'Lord, where do you want me to read today?' I immediately sensed I was to go to Acts 11, expecting it to be about something else entirely, and surprisingly, the Lord said, 'My children must now in this time lose their religion.' So, of course, I asked, " What are you saying, Father? He said, read on...
So, I read the account of Peter, who had been raised to never eat anything impure. In fact, if you think about this, you will realize that he was raised so well that even into adulthood, he would not eat something that he'd been taught was impure or unclean. Going back in the Word of God, we clearly see that there were things that they were told not to eat. Anything with cloven hooves or that chewed its cud was a no-no. Also, there were even fish that they were told not to eat, but this blog isn't about going into the details, as we no longer live under this.
Chapter 11 begins by telling us that Peter was being criticized for going into the house of a man who was uncircumcised. Peter then feels compelled to explain himself and shares how the Lord brought this about. Going into this house was not Peter's idea. No, he'd have never done it on his own. He had been prepared and had to be in order to do something so new. When God wants you to do a new thing, He will prepare you, and you don't have to worry that you are going to miss Him or what He is saying, as long as you always keep this in mind.
Isaiah 43:19 NKJV
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Does God simply speak once and expect Peter to comprehend and make changes right away? No, unlike us, He is patient, loving, and kind. He is even long-suffering, and He understands that because of how we were raised and the things that we have learned along the way, He is going to have to do some work to help us to renew our minds as we are told in Romans 12:2, to who He really is and what He really expects of us. Beloved, if you feel pressured to do something, it is not God. God wants us to be led by His Spirit, so anytime you feel driven rather than led, you must sit with Him and get out from under that demonic oppression.
NOW LET'S GET BACK TO THE STORY...
Peter is given a vision where he sees something like a sheet coming down, and it has four-footed creatures of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles, and even birds. But then he hears a voice telling him, 'Get up, Peter, kill and eat.' Of course, he replies No, Lord. Interestingly, he knew right away that this vision was from God. He never says, I thought it was the enemy trying to get me into sin. He knew that it was from God because the sheet came down out of the heavens, and so he knew right away that God wanted to speak to him or tell him something of significance. You see, back in those days, people knew that God spoke to them through dreams and visions. Unlike today, where so many still struggle or won't accept this fact, it is true. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, as Hebrews 13:8 tells us, and He will always find a way to speak to His children.
Amazingly, in God's love and patience, He knows that Peter is struggling with what He is showing him, so in order to make sure Peter understands the change that must come (not just in eating but in his ministering to others), God shows this to him three times. Now, Peter, whose mind is blown, realizes that God is making a huge change, but at the same time realizes that the religious mindset that is around him will challenge what He has been shown.
If that wasn't enough, right after this vision, three men show up at the house where he is staying, and he finds that they'd been sent to him. So, in this, we find that even before God gave Peter this vision, three men were on their way to see him. More preparation. So now we've had 3 visions, the voice of the Lord telling Peter to rise and eat, and not to call unclean what He has called clean. He comes out of the vision, and three men show up asking him to come with them. Now, normally Peter would have never gone with them, but again God had prepared him to think differently. See things differently and know that God was part of this new thing.
The final part of the preparation is also something that you and I have the ability to listen to and lean on, and that is, Peter says, 'The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them.' The men actually tell him that they have had an angelic visitation telling them to go and get Peter so that they would be saved. This, too, had to be mind-blowing for Peter. God had not only sent them to find him, but the Lord had sent an angel to speak to these men in sending them. Let's look at Acts 11:15-17.
Acts 11:15-17 NKJV
15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. 16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17 If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?”
Why am I sensing that God wanted me to share this with you? Because most who read this already realize that He is doing a new thing, but in my spirit, I feel prompted to make you aware that in the days to come, your mindset about who you think God is and what He expects from you, as well as what He will really do for you and for our world, will be challenged greatly. You are going to have to make a commitment and stand firm on what God has told you, whether you see wars, famines, fake alien invasions, or even things you don't like or understand that Donald Trump says or does. Yes, the enemy will do everything he can to get you to disagree with God's plan and to turn on God and Trump because of the things that are coming upon this earth, but last night Ap. Joshua and I sat in our kitchen and prayed over Donald Trump, and the Spirit said this to me...
No matter what you see or hear in the days to come do not be shaken. For I have prepared you and have given My angels charge over you. Do not become like those who spoke against My servant Moses because in this day and hour there are those who will fall right along with Korah and his family, who got swallowed up because they stood against My man and My plan.
Set your face like flint this day and do not allow yourself to be driven by your enemy with fake news, lies, deception, and the like. You, My children, have grown and matured in these years, and so I say well done. Your faith has truly been tested, but I, your Father, am now saying you must choose to be Spirit-led and to walk in obedience to Me and My plan. For I have chosen a man after My own heart. Yes, My servant Donald Trump as a modern-day Moses, and he will save you from things you did not even know you needed to be saved from. Do not look to the right or to the left, but only keep your eyes upon Me, My children, because there is little time left before the great and terrible day, and you MUST MAKE A STAND!
