Woe to those who turn people against Me and My plans / Blog Pt 1

 

Part 1

I barely got out of bed to freshen up and spend time with the Lord when I sensed He wanted me to address a very serious subject in the body of Christ. Yes, I have addressed this before, but the reality is division continues to grow because God's people have idols in their lives and they simply do not realize it. 

What then is an idol?

In the Bible, an idol is anything that takes the place of God as the ultimate focus of worship, devotion, or trust, whether a physical object or a matter of the heart.

This speaks clearly to us, and yet there are multitudes still being led astray by voices whose names I won't mention because I don't care to give the enemy an entrance through this blog. I believe that you know EXACTLY who I am sharing about. In all honesty, many years ago I liked many of these people as well, but the Lord taught me long ago to stay away from anyone who is not speaking for Him. 

How did He teach me this?

Proverbs 6:16-19

These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

That last line shakes me to my core, and I don't even allow it in my home. You would think that these words would align our hearts with God and that as children who love and adore Him, we would want to please Him, but far too many are still being led astray by voices that He has not sent to lead them. 

• He sent His Word to heal us.
• He sent His Son to die on the cross to take our sins away (and so much more).
• He sent His prophets to speak to us so that we as His children would know His plans.

There is no place in the Christian life for Media, Journalists, Propagandists, Social Media Influencers, or the like to EVER lead you.

Therefore, if your favorite Hollywood actor or actress has more say in what you think or believe than God, there is a problem there.

If you are one who sits and watches the news all day and believes what they are saying and broadcasting, you are being lied to and led astray.

Many of these people will even tell you that they know God or they are Christians, as if that makes it all right to listen to or follow them. No, beloved, you have the mind of Christ (Corinthians 2:16), and He would never speak the things that they speak, especially about His David (Trump). He would not be telling you to accept other religions, especially ones that want to kill you, and He certainly would not tell you that you can make up your own mind to follow them into lies and darkness. You are a follower of Christ. 

Paul clearly told us twice...

Galatians 1:8

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1:9

As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Therefore, those of us who are listening to the prognosticators out there who are trying to tell us they are Believers yet are constantly living in Proverbs 6 are accursed, and your part in their life is to love them and pray for them earnestly but not to be deceived and swayed by them. As a Christ follower, you are to be careful what you hear. Your eyes and ears are a portal into your soul and thought life, which becomes what you meditate on. Good or bad, and therefore what pours out of you (Luke 6:45).

So I ask this question. What are you listening to? Who are you listening to, and what is pouring out of them? Is it hatred, anger, rage, lies, deception, and the like? If so, you are listening to and following the wrong people, and it is time to make a change. God has a good plan for you, but He can't force it on you. It is up to you to believe it, beloved. So why not go with God and what He is saying?

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

It is time to turn off anything that is sharing evil and untruths with you. Even if it were me, I would say the same thing. I believe that in the end, those who truly love the Lord and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28) have a terrific future with the Lord and with each other, but as the body, we must grow up and stop being people who will bite and devour each other.

 

Galatians 5:15

But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!
