The God of the Impossible ~ Blog
The last few days I haven't been able to get something out of my head. Of course, we all know the scripture that says with God all things are possible. It is literally found 3 times in the New Testament in Matthew 19:26, Mark 10:27 & Luke 1:37.
Mark 10:27
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”
I think we kind of read this too quickly or too matter-of-factly. Believers get so used to the word of God that they become unbelieving believers not really believing much of anything anymore. I know of many Christians or Believers in Christ who literally believe the word of God is old and outdated, and none of what God said in it was specifically for us but for another time. They just go to church and sit and listen to a Pastor preach to them and they barely open their Bible except on Sunday. Their minds tell them that God can do all things but they very quickly fall into the pit of 'I don't deserve it, so He won't do anything for me' attitude. The devil is a liar as the Bible tells us. I won't be lied to anymore. I've been there and done that.
I went through seasons of not wanting to sow because I was so strapped for money I couldn't see a way out so I hoarded money to pay bills or to buy groceries. I had a family of six and sowing didn't feel like an option to me at the time. If you are in this place dear ones, DO NOT BE CONDEMNED (Romans 8:1). God still loved me and He still loves you too. God doesn't need our money, but His desire is that we would work His word and His truth and realize that we must break out of that stronghold and begin to sow so that we are planting seeds that will produce more for us later on.
I went through countless seasons of seeing others get healed or even purposely ignoring healing ministers on TV because it wasn't happening for me and in my own pain or sickness, I couldn't believe for it. Therefore, without faith, it became impossible for me to get healed. Why because I didn't believe it. I ignored it and got worse and worse. I was one of those people that Jesus would have had to put out of the room because of my unbelief so that He could heal or raise the dead. Yes, that is how bad I was. I'm just being transparent here but realize one thing in my transparency I am saying WAS.
Our faith is fought daily but it is so important dear ones. Another wonderful person comes to mind in the book of Mark the 5th chapter we read about the woman with the issue of blood. She'd had this issue for 12 years and spent all her money trying to get healed. She was even forced to stay in her home as if she was a lepper because in those days the law was that you could not touch the blood so no one wanted her around them. This is an AMAZING WOMAN. I love her. She hears about Jesus coming. She obviously knew of the healings He'd already done or she wouldn't have bothered. Hundreds and hundreds of people are following Jesus and very close to him but this precious woman PRESSES through. They could have seen her and pulled her out and away and in fact, they could have stoned her for touching them but instead, she is determined and she says, 'If I can only touch the hem of His garment I will be healed.' Her focus was on Jesus not those around Him. Her eyes were on Jesus. Her heart was with Jesus and she knew that being close enough to touch Him she would be healed. It is so amazing what Jesus says to her. "“Daughter, your faith has made you well.' (Mark 5:34)
If we want to receive what God has for us we must have faith. If you struggle with believing it is time to put away all doubt beloved. Don't let the bondage of this world keep you from getting all that God has for you. So many of us see God do miraculous things for others and yet hope deferred has kind of made some hearts sick and many are no longer praying. Countless believers right now are being distracted and standing against each other instead of getting into agreement so their prayers will be answered. But dear ones, we are stepping into supernatural times. In fact, if you can't see it through the prophetic words and prophecies that are coming to pass daily I don't know how to help you or how to make you see it. Things are happening so fast that I can literally see people's heads swimming and I believe it will get more furious as we go forth into this new year.
GOD USES THE FOOLISH THINGS
What would be more foolish than to choose women who were barren to birth a nation or even to give the world a Joseph who would save not only God's people but many in his days because of the wisdom that God had given him through a barren woman?
Get ready for your mind to be blown beloved. God does on purpose what man would never do. He chooses those that no one else would ever choose to reveal His goodness and His glory. We must realize how Mighty He is for us, around us, through us, and in us. Without God we truly are nothing but with God, we are as Jesus was on the earth. We have that same resurrection power living within us. The problem lies in our unbelief. Just for a minute let's look at 3 IMPOSSIBLE situations that God Himself chose.
- God needs a man in the earth so He tells Abraham to get away from his country and his kindred and go to a new place that He would show him. But He doesn't stop there. Understand this dear ones. God already is fully aware of the situation He knows full well that Abram and Sarai are up in years and have never had children. In fact, God knows full well that Sarai who He renamed Sarah was barren. Yet God chose them, called them out, separated them, and told Abraham that he would be the father of many nations. Was this impossible? Yes, to the natural man, it was long past impossible. Hence the reason Abraham and Sarah tried to hurry it a long and brought forth Ismael out of Sarah's servant Hagar. But wait, was Ismael in the plan all along? Well, there are two reasons that I believe he was. The first would be that God specifically told Abraham that he would be the father of many nations. Not just one nation. The second would be that Hagar runs away at one point because she is being treated so badly and an angel visits her telling her to go back and that God will bless her and her son. God could have just let them go.
- Isaac the son of Abraham is ready to be married. His father specifically sends a servant out to find a very specific wife for his son. Although her name is not known her beauty and character are and that is what the servant is to look for. Exactly what Abraham's servant prayed for happened and Rebekah was chosen and taken back to marry Isaac, yet to further cause issues to a family that was supposed to be a part of helping to father the nations as was told to father Abraham we find in Genesis 25 that Rebekah was also barren.
- 3. And then there was Jacob, right? Jacob is to be the father of the 12 tribes (of course he stole the birthright from his brother or we'd have had Abraham, Isaac, and Esau but no. In God's plan, He needs a man who is going to bring forth the tribes and be the Patriarch of a huge family to continue the promise He made to Grandfather Abraham but even in Jacob's life the love that he wanted and worked so hard for was Rachel and after working so many years to finally have her given to him in marriage Rachel is barren as well. How on earth does this happen you might ask? Again I will say God takes the foolish things of this world to put to shame the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27). In God's plan He chooses whether to use a man, but for us we ALWAYS need God. If it wasn't enough to find that God had this huge plan to populate the earth through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (including their wives of course) we now find in Genesis 29 that Rachel is also barren.
Genesis 29:31
When the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb; but Rachel was barren
Although Jacob was tricked into marrying Leah he had pretty much reaped what he had sown many years prior in his own family and look at the verse above. God even cared about Leah. It says that God saw that she was unloved. I just love that. In those days it was a blessing to be one who bears children. God blessed Leah first.
Luke 18:27
But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
