The Severity of the Lord is Coming... ~ Blog & Prophecy

This morning, while in prayer, I kept trying to silence my mind to hear from Him, but several things kept coming to me to the point where I felt that God wanted me to write this blog. My thoughts and what I was hearing I will share below and I do believe they are from Him.

Don't Let Your Struggle Become Your Identity...

I keep seeing Ananias and Sapphira which is a story in the New Testament.

Acts 5:1-11

Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet.

Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”

When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened. Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.

About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her, “Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?”

“Yes,” she said, “that is the price.”

Peter said to her, “How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.”

10 At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. 11 Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.

This story has always been a bit terrifying to me. Not many teach on it, and far too many preach so much grace now that the body of Christ no longer believes in the severity of God. But I believe that the very reason that our world is in the condition it is in today is because the church lost not only their first love but also their fear of the Lord. The body of Christ struggled with separating themselves as they should and slowly but surely took on the identity of the profane.

What does profane mean?

  1. relating or devoted to that which is not sacred or biblical; secular rather than religious:

  2. (of a person or their behavior) not respectful of orthodox religious practice; irreverent:
"desecration of the temple by profane adolescents"
    • (of language) blasphemous or obscene.

This is a hard blog to write as I am sure that many will not want to hear what I am telling them or what I sense the Lord really wants to say, but the TRUTH is that we are long past time to make a decision to live for Christ and to walk in holiness. It matters not whether you are saved for a year or have been saved for 50 years. At this time in History, we must walk so closely with the Lord that we are willing to give up and even walk away from those in our lives who are not. Trusting that He will change them and bring them back. But if we aren't an example of truth and holiness, why should they ever follow our example?

What do I mean by the severity of the Lord?

My point is there are those among you or in your life that you tolerate because you love them. They may be a family member or a friend, but the reality is they have walked away from the Lord and are living like the world. I must remind those reading this that in Revelation 2, Jesus addresses the Church at Thyatira. We must realize that the letters to the churches are an end-time message. Therefore, we must acknowledge that we truly are in the end times. Like the sons of Issachar, we must be a people who know the times and seasons and what the Lord is saying to the church. What Jesus is saying sounds pretty good at first. He says they are walking in love, faith, service, and even perseverance. Something most of us believe we are doing even now, but He has no problem telling them that He has something against them.

Revelation 2:20-23

20 Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. 21 I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. 22 So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. 23 I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

He is no Longer Just the Lamb. Jesus is NOW the Lion of the Trible of Judah...

I have had to make some of the most difficult decisions of my life in the last few years, but it is all to follow the Lord and to separate and consecrate myself to Him and what the Lord is doing today as well as where He wants to take us. It seems selfish, I guess, in a way to separate myself unto God putting some out of my life, but in the end I know that God will be able to bring them back and use me in their lives.

What can we learn from the story of Ananias and Sapphira? Well, there came a time in the early church (New Testament Church) where God had to bring His people back to the knowledge of the fear of the Lord. A sacrifice had to be made so that others following Him would not go astray or become gods unto themselves. A man and wife decided together to lie to the Holy Spirit. Sadly, in our world today, lying has become the norm for most people, but I have decided I will no longer tolerate it. Those in my life that I know to be lying or who have clearly become liars I have had to cut off. It doesn't make much sense for me to say, 'I won't listen to the Mainstream Media anymore. All they do is lie and spew propaganda and then shut them off, saying that I am following the voice of the Lord'. Then listening to friends or family members who lie consistently and yet believe we have done something pleasing to the Lord. The truth is once we get to the place where all we do is lie, the Bible says we are of our father the Devil (John 8:44).

But It Was Only Lying...

This is the deception. We have become people who question God in His severity. We skip over the story of Ananias and Sapphira as if it wasn't even a portion of scripture in the New Testament because we have countless preachers and teachers in our world who have taught us that God loves us no matter what. Well, yes, He does. He loves the sinner as well but there is never a time where He doesn't want you to walk in holiness. There is never a time when He doesn't want you to walk in His truth (John 8:32). There is never a time when He is okay with His children acting or living like the world (2 Corinthians 6:17). What happened to be ye holy even as I am holy (1 Peter 1:16)?

In our world today, God's people are not only lying, but they are into drugs, alcohol, pornography, and manipulation that is putting people into bondage and not setting them free at all. I do realize that everything I just mentioned is an addiction. I do understand as I write this that some have been overtaken by worldliness through these things because of the deception that came in through the world in the first place. They didn't purposely bring this on themselves, but I need (at least in my own life) to walk closer to God and not to allow all that others have allowed into their lives to affect my relationship with the Lord or poison my walk with Him.

What Is My Part?

My part in their lives is to pray. It is not to coddle them or preach the grace message to them, completely destroying the fear of the Lord in their souls. In fact, a scripture just came to me that fits here perfectly.

2 Corinthians 5:20

20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Our part in their lives is to pray. This scripture says that when we pray, we are acting as God and making an appeal for them, calling them back to God. How can we bring them back to God if we are living like them or patting them on the back for the choices and decisions they are making?

Beloved, as I said in the beginning of this blog this is a hard one to write. These decisions have been tough but I can see God's hand in them whether others do right now or not. I am sure I will get letters from those who think they are just walking in love and grace telling me that what I am hearing from the Lord is wrong. That is okay. I know where God has me right now, and I know when He is asking me to write and share with others, but my heart grieves for many of you who have simply accepted the enemy in your lives. You are blinded to the fact that it is not God but the enemy who controls your every waking moment. You have no joy. You have no peace. You wake up every day to strife and arguments. You can't even remember a time when you were happy. There are very few days that you go without tears. In fact, many feel like the Lord has left them as they spend as much time as they can through it all to seek Him, but there is so much chaos and confusion in their lives that they no longer feel they hear Him at all.

Do What You Did At First...

Come back to God. Repent for following the world or tolerating that Jezebel spirit in or around you. Be reconciled to God, and then as you find your own way back, you can pray as He wants you to for family members or friends, but you MUST put your foot down on the head of that snake (Romans 16:20) that has tried to overtake and consume your life. You are the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:13). You are above and not beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13). You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). The enemy is not over you and should have no control over you or your life. Not even through family members or friends. You bow to the Lord and never to the enemy.

Look around you and look at your life. What direction it has gone. When did that happen? Ask yourself some hard questions. You are to walk in love. You are to walk in forgiveness, but just as God would NOT expect you to live in a house where you were being abused physically, He is also concerned about those of you who willingly allow yourselves to be controlled by the addictions of others. Your Father in Heaven is greatly concerned about how you (His child) are being treated.

I hear the Lord saying some of My children are not ready for My justice to come, as many believe that everything will be roses and rainbows, but this is not the truth. My justice is coming not only to the world but to the church as well. Yes, I will deliver. Yes, I will heal. Yes, I will change and transform, but remember that I look upon the heart, and I know things that you do not know about the people in your life.

Read My word in John 15 because like the vinedresser does to the vine I must prune in your life so that you can grow and flourish. If you will not see the pruning that needs to be done in your life, you may not understand what I am doing, and it will come as a shock to you when I begin to remove from you branches that are not bearing fruit, but it is time, My child, says the Lord. I have great plans for you, but the harvest is enormous and the laborers are few, and I need you My child, to be ready for those who will soon run to Me. Because the harvest is so large I must prune everything that does not bear fruit so that I can bring you to a place of bearing much fruit.

Live, love, and walk with Me, because I love you more than you could ever know and want to be known in your life not only as your Father in Heaven but also as a friend, just as I was with Adam and Abraham. Separate yourself to Me, and I will show you things that you could have never known, and I will take you places that you thought were impossible. Remember My child nothing is impossible for Me.

John 15: 1-8

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
