The Holy Hush ~ Blog
One of the most important things we can learn as followers of Christ is the Holy Hush. Beloved, I have not arrived, but I am working on it, and I certainly hope in this time that you are as well. Why? Because there have been several prophecies in the last few years where God says He needs His children to learn to speak only what He says.
Sadly, we've slowly and painfully been taught to say whatever, whenever. We've been programmed to believe that it's okay to just get it all out. Go see therapists because your life was such a mess that you need to talk to someone other than God and tell them everything. I am not saying people don't need counseling, but we must remember that the Bible tells us not to receive counsel from the ungodly. Psalm 1:1 We've been taught to scream at ball games and horse races, but we must be quiet in church or Christian gatherings, and we've been forcibly told to be silent on spiritual matters like standing up for LIFE, prayer, praise, worship and even the use of musical instruments is still not looked upon well in some denominations. How did that happen? Do people just throw out portions of the Bible? You can't even read about King David without seeing his over-exuberant dancing and singing, and the instruments and singers he had worshiping the Lord. Many in the body of Christ basically just sat back and let Satan take over everything God always intended for us, and it is time to take it all back. Now is the time to take back your praise and even your dance.
I was recently in the book of Isaiah, and I often hear people preaching on this as well. Isaiah was a true Prophet of God used mightily, and he had an encounter that not one of us would ever forget, and he tells us so in Isaiah 6:1-4. I will let you go read it for yourself so that I don't take up too much space, but in short, Isaiah sees the Lord high and lifted up sitting on a throne, and then is also able to see several different kinds of creatures/angelic beings who are worshiping the Lord. The Bible then gives us a glimpse into the reality of what he not only saw but also felt at that moment.
Isaiah 6:5 NKJV
So I said:
“Woe is me, for I am undone!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”
His thoughts immediately went to his lips. He didn't think of all his sins or fall to his knees in confessions as most would after having such an experience and seeing the Lord in such glory and reverence. No, instead, he realized right away that it was his mouth that got him into trouble and that he lived around others who had the same problem. I love this story because God helps him right away, but I also believe it shows us that we need God's help to get our mouths in line with Him. It isn't something that He believes we can do on our own.
Isaiah 6:6-7 NKJV
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said:
“Behold, this has touched your lips;
Your iniquity is taken away,
And your sin purged.”
Amazing, the last line is 'your sin purged'. Didn't Jesus say it isn't what goes into a man but what comes out of him that defiles him? Matthew 15:11 I believe that we need God's help to get that Holy Hush. What do I mean by that? I'm not saying be silent as a church mouse... lol I believe wholeheartedly that we must make decrees and declarations, and we can even shout down the enemy, rejoice and celebrate loudly as the Lord wants us to. But we must learn to speak the word only as Jesus taught and not to grumble and complain like the children of Israel did, who offended God so much that they never even stepped into the land promised to them.
We are in a time and season like no other. In fact, WE'VE NEVER BEEN THIS WAY BEFORE. There are examples throughout the Word of what we should do and what we shouldn't do, but after reading this, I hope you will ask yourself a few questions because God created the world with words. We were created in His image and likeness. The Word was so important to God that it became flesh and dwelt among us. He sent His word to heal us. What words are you sending when you speak?
- Are you sending healing or sickness?
- Are you sending blessings or curses?
- Are you sending abundance or poverty?
- Are you sending restoration or destruction?
We must get this right, beloved. Those of us who have been following the words of the Lord through the Prophets for almost 5 years now have had plenty of time to make the necessary changes so that we can see the fruit of our lips manifesting and setting us in a better place than we've been in. Do you see your Prodigal returning? Do you see your marriage restored? Do you see yourself receiving the wealth transfer? Do you see that new house, new job, or most importantly, that really, really close relationship with the Lord that you've always wanted? It's important to see it but also to take the time to speak it. Beloved, I believe wholeheartedly that if you send His words, you too will see light again.
Genesis 1:3 NKJV
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
