Isn't it Interesting? A New Continuous Blog {MONTH OF AUGUST}
ISN'T IT INTERESTING?
The Bible says, Ask and you shall receive, but there is something we shouldn't be asking for. Actually, probably many, but let's just deal with the ask in Mark 10.
Mark 10:37 NIV
“Let one of us sit at your right and the other at your left in your glory.”
One thing I can't help but think about this question is what if He'd have said yes? Would their next statement have been, 'I want to be on the right, and you can put my brother on the left? The entire ask was wrong. There were other men following Jesus. Why did they even make the attempt at exalting themselves above the others?
My point is that I find it interesting that the men Jesus chose were so self-serving from the beginning. This is why Jesus is so amazing. He didn't pick perfect men, and He doesn't get angry with them for asking, although I'm sure the other disciples must have been pretty stunned hearing this. In fact, verse 41 tells us that the other 10 became indignant, but Jesus nips it in the bud for every one of them right away by calling them all together and teaching them exactly who He is training them up to be.
Mark 10:42 NIV
Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.
So even the Son of man did not come to be served. God has given us all authority, but man takes that too far and wants to exalt himself so that he can lord over other people. Jesus tells them that rulers and Gentiles lord over them, but it should not be so with you.
He then shares the Kingdom of God, which is upside down in our world today. Reminding them that even He did not come to be served but to serve.
Jesus is our example, beloved. Always look for humility in those you allow to lead you. We must wake up and stop blindly following men and women who may be teaching false doctrine or even prophesying falsely.
Paul made it clear that it is very important that, as you follow others, you must be sure that they are following Christ.
Throughout the book of Mark we begin to see the Teachers of the Law & Pharisees continuously trying to trap Jesus by asking him questions they don't believe he will answer to the liking of the people hoping they turn from following him yet what really happens because he knows their hearts and what they are trying to do is he embarrasses them instead making themselves look like the fools.
In one such incident in the book of Mark, chapter 12, they tell a ridiculous story about a woman who is supposed to marry about seven different brothers simply because she has never had a child with any one of them. They believe because of the law that the brothers must all marry her. The first thing I would be thinking is this woman must be barren because how can she have married seven brothers and never once had a child? However, there is something quite interesting tucked away in verse 25 that many, I believe, have taught completely wrong.
In answering their question in verse 23, which was, 'Whose wife will she be since all seven of the brothers died and were married to her', Jesus gives us a hint at something way beyond the death of man when he shares something awesome about angels in Heaven too.
Mark 12:25
When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.
In this one verse, Jesus compares human beings to the angels by sharing that once in heaven, we will not be given in marriage. What does this mean? Well, for one, it means that although you will know people and see them once you get to heaven, you won't be married or living with a family anymore. Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for us, and He meant individually. He did not mean a husband and a wife or a family. He meant for YOU.
Isn't it interesting, however, that Jesus brings angels into this in that He specifically says, 'like the angels'. I've heard so many teach that angels are not able to be intimate (have sex), and yet this lie has been taught to us for centuries to discount what really happened in Genesis 6, which I will add below.
Genesis 6:2 & 4
2 The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were fair, and they took wives of all they desired and chose.
4 There were giants on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God lived with the daughters of men, and they bore children to them.
Jesus telling the Pharisees and Teachers of the law that in heaven we are not given in marriage was not only telling them that once you get to heaven, you won't be having marital relations with a former spouse. He wasn't telling those of us reading today that angels are unable to do so. He was telling them that once a man gets to heaven, it is wonderful, beautiful, glorious, and pure, and marital relations are not a part of the heavenly experience. In heaven, you won't need money, which the love of is the root of evil. In heaven, you won't be lusting after anyone because there is no physical attraction, because everyone will be your brother or sister in Christ, and you will see them as such rather than as a spouse at all.
This answer that Jesus gave to them gives us a look into a window of what heaven will be like for us, but it was never meant to be used as some kind of doctrine to say that angels were created without the ability to make their own decisions or choices. In fact, we know that Satan himself made a choice against God. Teachings on angels can get very deep, beloved, but in order to move forward, we must let go of the lies and deception taught to us previously.
I encourage you to read your bible again, seeing through different eyes. Ask questions and then sit and listen to see what answers God may give. He wants to speak beloved. Do some research and NEVER stand on something just because it was said to you or because others believe such. Learn for yourself and ask God some tough questions. He is faithful and will give you answers to the many questions your heart has wanted to ask, but never did because you just went along with what others thought, taught, or said.
Isn't it interesting how easily the enemy divides us? Why do I say that? Surely, I see all the denominational dividers and things that keep us apart. Yes, I do, but there is something absolutely amazing written to us in Mark 9:38-40 that so few take heed to, even though Jesus Himself spoke it.
Mark 9:38-40
“Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.”
39 But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. 40 For he who is not against us is on our side.
In verse 39, Jesus specifically says, 'Do not stop him'. In fact, He goes on to say, for whoever is not against us is for us.
The Lord said He would build His church. Is He happy with all the division? No, not the division the enemy has sown, but God (Unlike man) is not against all those who find themselves stuck in a denomination either. Most are for Jesus, right? Therefore, when we position ourselves against others who love and serve the Lord or are doing the work of the Lord, we may at times be unwittingly being used by the enemy and not by God.
He isn't looking for your non-denominational or denomination sign outside your church door, Beloved. In fact, He goes on in verse 41 to bring it back to ANYONE.
Mark 9:41
41 For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.
It's all about belonging to Christ. If you or others that you know love Jesus and are doing good works for the Lord, it isn't your denominational standing that will bring rewards. It is the simplest of things, like caring for others, that show you are of Christ and bring rewards to us. Are you judging someone who gives a cup of water? Do you know every single thing that others are doing that are of God and that He actually sees?
I often remind people of Isaiah's experience where the coal had to be put upon his lips. Stop allowing fleshly feelings and the enemy of your soul to turn your mouth into a black hole of judgment towards those God may well love. Jesus quickly stopped John when he began speaking about what he saw others doing.
There are those against the Lord, but my point is not every minister, ministry, or denomination is hurting the Lord or the church. Our mouths do enough of that on their own.
Isn't it interesting that Jesus never left anything unfinished? He knew that His Father wanted people healed of all the sickness and diseases the enemy had put upon them.
The Spirit has been so controlled in our day that many pray, and if they don't see the manifestation right away, they simply say, 'I guess it wasn't meant to be.' but in Mark 8:23 through 25, we find a story of a blind man who Jesus is laying hands on to heal and it doesn't happen right away.
Mark 8:22
23 So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.
24 And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”
25 Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.
Jesus lays hands on the man and asks, 'What do you see?' The man does see something, but it isn't clear. It looks like trees walking around. Jesus knew the entire healing had not yet manifested, so rather than throw His hands up in the air and give up, the Bible says Jesus put His hands on the man's eyes AGAIN and had him look up. Then his eyes were opened, and he could see everything clearly.
Two things to note:
- Jesus was not afraid to do it again. If you don't see a healing right away, God wants you to continue praying in faith until you see the manifestation.
- The first time Jesus prayed, the man simply looked straight ahead, and not seeing clearly, he saw what appeared to be trees walking, but he did see something. Which means healing was manifesting. However, the second time Jesus prayed, the man looked up. What does this mean? It means God wants our attention and focus UP on Him. The second time, the man looked toward the Heavens as if to say I acknowledge God because He is the Great Physician and is also my healer.

The Dead Will Rise... (8.12.25)
On August 11, I referenced scriptures from Matthew 27, which I will repost here...
52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”
Many months ago, the Lord clearly spoke to me, saying this was going to happen again in our time. I've gotten used to people thinking I'm crazy, but I know what I heard, so I guess we'll wait and see. It's not up to me to prove the things the Lord is or wants to do in our time. I just speak what He's told me personally.
The prophetic voices have said countless times that we are stepping into a new era, a new season where the Remnant will do greater things than Jesus did, as we see in John 14:12. Not only did Jesus raise the dead in His life, but the dead came to life afterward as well. The scripture above tells us that the bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep (which we know Jesus said about his friend Lazarus) came out of their graves and literally appeared to many in the Holy City.
Isn't it interesting how Believers read the Word and just skip over these kinds of things? Those who simply read the Bible as if it were a book rather than truly understanding that the Word of God is ALIVE & ACTIVE will be amazed when this happens again after the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord that is being spoken of now.
The Lord did not tell me how far back people would have died for this to happen. He gave me very few details, except that we should believe for it again. Not only will you be able to call the dead back to life yourself by the power of the Holy Spirit, but you will see people whom you once knew or thought to be dead back on this earth. God is going to make a huge impression upon not only Believers by doing 'Biblical' things, but even more to show the unbelievers who He is. A God in whom NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE, and I do mean NOTHING.
His Glory will fall upon this earth in such a way that it never has before, and where His Glory is, there is life. Expect to see things that you've never seen before, and don't be afraid of it. Know that He is telling you it is coming, and comprehend that it is our GREAT & MIGHTY GOD and only God who could bring this to pass.

Herodias (8.6.25)
What a horrible story! Honestly, I can barely read it, but as I'm reading through Mark, I had to, and I noticed something I hadn't seen before. If you think demons are not at work through people, I encourage you to read the story of John's beheading.
John the Baptist had been telling King Herod that it wasn't right that he'd taken his brother's wife as his own. This woman, Herodias, was the epitome of evil, always getting her way, manipulating, and thinking of how she could accomplish what the evil insider her desired. In some ways, more sinister than Jezebel, in that Jezebel just took over and did whatever she wanted to do outright. Herodias, however, plotted behind the scenes and even used her own daughter to seduce Herod, which means Herodias was okay with her man (Herod) lusting after her daughter.
Knowing that she could use seduction and wickedness to get the head of John, she set it all up for what she called the 'opportune time'. Herod was having a birthday party (all focus on him), and Herodias sends her seductive dancing daughter out. Place yourself at this party for a minute, where there are countless men, not just Herod. Herodias, knowing that all these men would be there, still decides it's a good idea to put her own daughter out there to dance, even though she is being watched by ALL and not just by Herod. SICK!
Herod then grants Herodias' wish for John the Baptist's head, and it is literally brought out on a platter. Even the daughter was under Herodias's spell. Herod had literally just offered her up to half of his kingdom for this seductive dance, but she was so controlled by Mommy Dearest that she gave Herodias what she wanted instead. I mean, seriously. HE OFFERED HER UP TO HALF THE KINGDOM...
Another thing to note here is the leverage Herodias knew she would have by doing this at the party. Herod felt he had to kill John the Baptist to save face because the dancing daughter told him what she wanted as her payment for what she'd done right in front of all of the people at the party, and he'd just said, I'll give you anything you ask.
Rewind a bit with me, though. From beginning to end, this was all about Herodias and her grudge toward John the Baptist. This is why it is so dangerous to Nurse ANY kind of grudge. Offence opens doors for the demonic to enter. Wait, but what about my rewind? Let's go back a bit to vs 19-20.
Mark 6:19-20
19 Therefore Herodias held it against him and wanted to kill him, but she could not; 20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and he protected him. And when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
Isn't it interesting that Herod not only feared John, but he also protected him because he knew he was a Holy man of God, and he even enjoyed listening to him? Does that sound like the same Herod that we see in vs. 27-28?
Mark 6:27-28
27 Immediately the king sent an executioner and commanded his head to be brought. And he went and beheaded him in prison, 28 brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the girl; and the girl gave it to her mother.
Maybe this is where they get that old saying, 'the devil made me do it'. No, Herod, you did it, and in the end, the blood was dripping from your hands.
Why would I even share something like this? Because you need to understand how demons get access. Offence is grave in a Believer. Much is still to come in the days ahead. Beloved, watch the offences the enemy tries to bring into your life so that they don't turn into grudges. John went from being protected by King Herod to having his head on a platter within minutes, at the request of the same man who had once protected him. This was demonically driven through a fleshly manipulative woman who used anything and everything, including her own daughter, to get her way.

Holy Ground (8.5.25)
Many people do not realize that when our Bibles were put together so that we (supposedly) would not get confused, that although there are many different types of angels, as we clearly see in Revelation and understand by several stories which speak of the difference in rankings between Michael and Gabriel. But one thing I believe was purposely kept from us, and I believe must be clarified.
In Joshua 5, after he takes the younger generation of Israelites through the Jordan on dry ground, we read in vs 13 that Joshua sees what he believes to be a man standing in front of him, so he asks, 'Are you for us or for our enemies?'
I do not believe that the man there is just an angel at all. Why? Because angels are not to be worshipped, and they always deflect glory to the Lord, but this one had no problem with Joshua falling to his face before him. In fact, there is an even more significant clue here. Did Joshua think it was an angel, or did he know pretty quickly that he was being visited by Jesus Himself? In vs. 14, the man says, 'I am the Commander of the army of the Lord.'
But it gets even better. Joshua is also asked to remove his sandals because the place where he stands is Holy Ground. Where else do we read this? Exodus 3:5, where Moses has his experience with God (not an angel). Never does the Bible place an angel in the position to say they are holy, or if they speak to us, that we are on Holy Ground.
I truly believe this was a new experience for a new generation. God spoke to Moses on Holy Ground, and He did it again when He was finally bringing His people into the promised land by speaking to Joshua. This should encourage us, dear ones. God will do it again...
Joshua 5:13-15
13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?”
14 So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.”
And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?”
15 Then the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.
