Agents of Change ~ Blog

Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Beloved, I truly believe we are called to be agents of change. I believe that God gave us the calling of an intercessor just as He did in days of old to Moses, who the Bible tells us stepped in and prayed for the children of Israel, not only against the evils the world would bring upon them, but also even against the wrath of God because they truly tested His patience.

My husband and I do prayer podcasts at least once a week, hoping to get others to pray and agree with us. Why? Because Jesus prayed not only on earth, but the Bible actually tells us that He is still interceding for us even in Heaven. I've often asked myself this question. If Jesus, who was God in the flesh, had to pray, how much more should we do the same? He was and still is our example. I believe wholeheartedly that He modeled being an agent of change. Of course, man still has his own free will. We see this clearly in Luke.

Luke 22:31-32 NKJV

31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

Jesus tells Simon (Peter) that Satan wants him to fall, but that He (Jesus) has prayed for him. It appears that He knows that Peter will fall and yet He offers redemption and tells him to come back quickly, and use whatever you fell into to strengthen others.

I believe that some of us have taken prophecy incorrectly and that now, more than ever, it is the time to check our hearts and renew our minds to God's purpose for prophecy and prayer.

What is the purpose of prophecy? It is God speaking to us and letting us know what His plans are, but He also, at times, reveals what the enemy's plans are. Why? Because we are His mouth on this earth. He gave the earth to man, so we are now responsible to speak His words and bring forth the change that is necessary.

What is the purpose of prayer? It is God's way of inviting us to be in union with Him and also allowing us to use the authority given to us by Christ to be agents of change on this earth against the plans of the enemy.

James 5:16b

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

We are the righteousness of God in Christ. Therefore, we are that righteous man or woman that God is speaking of in James 5. God can and will use any one of us who is willing, and I believe it is time that we grow and understand that although God tells us we see through a glass dimly, we can ask Him to help us to see more clearly what He is speaking to us.

What am I speaking about here? J. D. Vance and others in recent months have been prophesied to be working against our President. Am I saying these prophecies are wrong? No, I am not. I am simply saying that I have noticed that some have taken the prophecies literally, as if there is no change possible, and therefore have given up on specific people who have been called out prophetically. I often see things in chat that are incomprehensible and should not be coming from children of the Most High God. Julie Green is one of the first ones who prophesied that he was working against Trump, but my question has always been, when did J. D. Vance become Judas? Is it possible even now that, like Peter, who Jesus Himself rebuked and called Satan for being in disagreement with him, could be changed? That just maybe his heart could be pierced, and the Lord could get a hold of his heart and take him from a Saul to a Paul?

I think as Christ followers, we often forget that nothing is impossible for our God. That God used Moses even after he murdered a man. He used Abraham even after he got into the flesh and created Ishmael. Jesus used Peter even after he denied Him 3 times. God doesn't give up on us, beloved. We are the ones who do that, but if we truly take the time to get into the spirit and see through a different lens (the eyes of God), we know that He is a God of love and redemption, and He ALWAYS uses what the enemy means for evil and turns it for our good.

In Acts 7, we have the horrible story of Stephen, who was stoned to death for preaching the gospel. What I love about Stephen's story is that we are told that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, but Stephen did not see Him seated. Stephen saw Jesus stand up. This to me has always spoken loudly. Seeing what Saul had done and was fully behind made Jesus stand to attention, and what then happened? Jesus knocks Saul off his horse, and He didn't say, why did you do this to Stephen? No, He said something much more powerful...

Acts 9:15 NKJV

5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

What happened to Stephen was taken personally by Jesus. This is how God still takes things against His children today. If people are hurting or persecuting us, Jesus isn't turning a blind eye. No, He is standing up and will soon do one of two things.

1) Jesus will change the heart of that person and will turn them from their evil, calling them to Himself.

2) If they continue to reject His call to them to come to Him by alluring them into a relationship with Him, He will give them over to the destruction of their own flesh.

However, God works all things together for the good for those of us who love HIm and are called according to His purpose. This beloved means that even something as evil as Judas' betrayal of Jesus was used for the purposes of God.

If Vance truly is a Christian, there is still hope. Is it possible that God is still working? Has He given us a glimpse of what the enemy wants to happen, but wants us to change through prayer and intercession? Is it possible that God is giving you this intel through the prophets because He trusts you to be an agent of change? Is it possible that Vance has more of a religious relationship with God than a true relationship, and therefore that blindness needs to be broken off of him? Yes, of course it is. So, shouldn't we be covering Trump in prayer daily but also including praying that God would turn the heart of the king (Vance), whether so ever He would?

Ezra 6:22 NKJV

And they kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with joy; for the Lord made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria toward them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.

The Assyrians were evil against God's people, but even God was able to turn the heart of the king toward His people. To me, this means that God is well able to turn the heart of J. D. Vance and others who have been called out recently by prophetic voices as people who are against Trump or our Nation.

You and I, beloved, have been set as watchmen over America. I believe the Lord asked me to write this today to open our eyes to the fact that He is calling us to pray. Take the prophetic words that He is giving to you through the prophets right now and use them as directives for how to pray using the word of God over these people that may still be redeemable.

God revealed to me when He started speaking to me this morning about this that many of the scriptures that I have been praying over my prodigals can be used for those that He loves but who are lost right now. Because He brought this to my attention, I am going to list several scriptures below for you to look up and pray over those like J. D. Vance who have been prophecied as being used against Trump and what the Lord has called him to do to save our nation. And I will close this blog out by sharing one example from Psalm that I simply changed a few words in to pray over Vance...

Psalm 139:23-24 TPT

God, I invite your searching gaze into the heart of our Vice President J. D. Vance. Examine him through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within him. Put him to the test and sift through all his anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain that he is walking on and lead him back to your glorious, everlasting ways -- the path that brings him back to you.

The additional scriptures that you can look up...

  • 2 Corinthians 5:20
  • 1 John 5:14-15
  • Ezekiel 11:19
  • 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
  • Joel 2:28-29
  • Philipians 2:13
  • Isaiah 57:8 AMPC
  • Ephesians 4:18 TPT
  • Romans 8:26-28 MSG
